Hi! Thanks for Being Here…

We understand the unique challenges that both instructors and parents face when it comes to providing meaningful, ethical equine education. As busy professionals, riding instructors often struggle to find the time or energy to plan engaging lessons while sticking to tight schedules. Our ground-based lesson plans provide ready-made solutions, opening up new revenue streams and offering ideas for multi-week courses or day-long learning sessions during school holidays.

Parents, on the other hand, want their children to experience a more well-rounded approach to horses but worry about the limitations of traditional learning methods. Our materials bridge that gap, offering a modern, ethical approach to equine education that empowers children to grow through intuition and science-backed knowledge, while also giving instructors and parents the tools they need to adapt with confidence.

Pony Talk Academy is a mother-daughter team dedicated to helping children form deep, respectful connections with horses. Jo Gardner, an unschooler, forest school leader and certified animal trainer, and Rosie Gardner, a freelance equine connection teacher and classical dressage rider, share their passion for ethical, science-based and fun horse education.

We believe that children are natural learners, and our tried and tested resources are designed to nurture their intuition and curiosity, creating positive, long-lasting relationships with horses.

Our mission is to offer an alternative to traditional horse education that children love , and that puts the horse at the centre, every time.

“Children are not just learners; they are apprentice adults on their journey with horses, and we honour that with every step!”
